LIFE AND DEATH PROBLEM

HAI FRIENDS OF THIS FORUMPLEASE SOLVE THE PROBLEM IF U EVEN DONT GETPLEASE TELL ME WHERE IN WHICH BOOK I CAN FIND THIS TYPE OF PROBLEMS.There are animals like goat,sheep and cow.one goat and seven sheeps eat as much as one cow eats.Also, three goats and one cow eat as much as eleven sheeps.If there is some fodder which is sufficient for a cow for three days,then for how many days will that fodder feed the goat. :o PLEASE REPLY OR MAIL MEATMAILAT.MAHESH@GMAIL.COM

Iam not sure of the answer.But just check whether the process is correct.Let the capacity that each goat,sheep and cow can eat be x,y,z respNow from the questionx+7y=z3x+z=11yAfter solving these equations we will get x=y.so the capacity of goat and sheep is same.now z=8y.That means the capacity of of cow is 8 times that of goat.Now if the fooder serves a cow for 3 days then the same fooder will serve a goat for 24 days So answer is 24 daysAny one correct me if iam wrong
