    Apptitude please

we generally find average speed if the journey is to and fro. here we can directly calculate the time taken for two parts as mentioned in prob.1st part: distance = 2/3(15) = 10 miles speed = 40 mph time 1 = 10/40 hrs = 15 mins2nd part: distance = 15-10(remaining) = 5 miles speed = 60 mph time2 = 5/60 hrs = 5 minsso total time = 15+5 = 20 mins

  7. Below is the real story of Arthur Ashe, which has a lot t o learn from it..This is one of the most beatiful stories i ever read.Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player contracted the AIDS virus from a blood transfusion following a heart surgery in 1983. He let the world know that he had this disease in 1992 and simultaneously formed the Arthur Ashe Foundation for the defeat of AIDS.When someone referred to him as a victim of AIDS he said, "I'm not a victim, I'm a messenger."When he was dying in 1993, he received hundreds of letters from his fans. One of them said, "Why does God have to select you for such a bad disease?"To this he said:The world over...5 crore children start playing tennis,50 lakh learn to play tennis,5 lakh learn professional tennis,50,000 come to the circuit,5,000 reach the Grand Slam,50 reach Wimbledon,4 to semi final,2 to the finals. When I was holding a cup, I never asked, 'God, why me?'And today in pain, I should not be asking, 'God, why me?'It is perhaps in accepting our lot with folded hands that true happiness is. For happiness lies not in getting what we love, but in loving and accepting what we get. The Lord alone decides when to give happiness and when to give sorrow. He alone knows the importance of letting us savour both. A person who eats only sweets never knows the taste of salt. If only you eat both, can you tell the difference! If ever you get your share of salty sorrows, do remember to thank God, for having let you taste the sweetness of happiness too.

    problem

simple logic behind this is:a spider completed spinning a web in 30 days. It spins double the amount spinned the prev day.So, if it has completed full web in 30 days, it must have completed half of the web on 29th day.SO, when two spiders work, they complete it on 29th day (2 halves).

    Exploratory Testing

Exploratory testing is the technique of testing which doesn't require prior plan. Execution and design of the test case happens at the same time.. It may be in any case of testing a new task or a old one.Usually exploratory testing involves in normal testing for eg: When a tester finds a bug, she troubleshoots it a bit, both to find a simple set of reproduction conditions and to determine whether a variant of these conditions will yield a more serious failure. This is classic exploration. The tester decides what to do next based on what she’s learned so far.another case is : When the programmer reports that the bug has been fixed, the tester runs theoriginal failure-revealing test to see if the fix has taken. But the skilled tester also varies the regression test to see whether the fix was general enough and whether it had a side effect that broke some other part of the program. This is exploratory testing.other frequent case is : When the tester first gets the product, with or without a specification, and tries outthe features to see how they work, and then tries to do something “real†with the product to develop an appreciation of its design, this is exploratory testing.

  12. Hi, I found this is very good and useful story worth reading..There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave hima bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper,he musthammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy haddriven 37 nails into the fence.Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger,The numberof nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down.He discovered it waseasier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all.Hetold his father about it and the father suggested that the boy Now,pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his fatherThat all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said,"You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. Thefence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leavea scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter howmany times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there." A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one. Friends are very rarejewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want toopen their hearts to us."Remeber Anger is One Letter Short To Danger
